Diaphragmatic Breathing

A type of breathing exercise that practice and taught to promote more effective aeration of the lungs, consisting of moving the diaphragm downward during inhalation and upward with exhalation.

There are several techniques to helps relax your muscles around your lungs.


Chest muscles helps moves by expanding and contracting the ribcage. Your chest muscle automatically contracts when you get tense. The tightening of the chest means air is being squeezed out of your lungs.


Gentle stretch and deep breathing relax chest muscles. As your lungs expands, more oxygen gets into your body. This fresh oxygenated blood is pumped throughout your system helping all your tense muscle relax. When we slow the breath, studies show, we activate the prefrontal cortex and shift the body from stress to self-control mode. Only a few minutes of practice will help you feel calmer and more in control.


Abdominal breathing, filling the lower lungs with your breath and observe the abdomen rise and fall, feel the expansion and gentle release.Relaxes the body and calm the mind.
